Wasatch Expo Hosts

The Wasatch Fly Tying & Fly Fishing Expo is planned and organized entirely by volunteers from several fly fishing organizations dedicated to promoting the sport and trout conservation in Utah. The Expo is made possible through the support of non-profit groups that share a passion for fly fishing, conservation, and community.

Local chapters of Trout Unlimited and Fly Fishers International play a central role in this effort. These organizations work to conserve, protect, and restore coldwater fisheries while preserving and promoting the traditions of fly fishing. Through volunteer projects, education, community partnerships, and responsible angling practices, they support healthy trout populations, improve aquatic habitats, and help ensure that clean water, sustainable fisheries, and the heritage of fly fishing are passed on to future generations.

Bonneville Fly Fishers

The Bonneville Fly Fishers is one of Utah’s longest-standing clubs and a proud member of Fly Fishers International (FFI). Based along the Wasatch Front, the organization brings together anglers of all skill levels to share a passion for fly fishing, conservation, and education.

Through regular meetings, casting instruction, and group outings, the club helps members improve their skills while enjoying Utah’s premier trout waters. As an FFI affiliate, they are dedicated to protecting coldwater fisheries through volunteer projects and youth education, ensuring the heritage of responsible angling is preserved for future generations.

Organization Spotlight: Cache Anglers

The Cache Anglers, based in Logan, is a proud Trout Unlimited chapter serving northern Utah. The club brings together anglers to support coldwater conservation, habitat restoration, and responsible stewardship of local fisheries.

Members enjoy monthly meetings featuring guest speakers and fly-fishing education. These are typically held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Bridgerland Audubon Society building (69 N. 1000 W., Logan, Utah). Through fellowship and outreach, Cache Anglers ensures healthy rivers are preserved for future generations.

Heber Valley Fly Casters

The Wasatch Fly Tying & Fly Fishing Expo is proud to recognize the Heber Valley Fly Casters as one of our valued hosts. Based in Utah’s scenic Wasatch Back, the club brings together anglers of all skill levels who share a passion for fly fishing, learning, and spending time on the water.

Heber Valley Fly Casters regularly organizes meetings, group fishing outings, and skill-building opportunities where members can exchange knowledge about casting, fly selection, and reading water. The club is also affiliated with Fly Fishers International (FFI), helping promote conservation, education, and stewardship of our fisheries.

Through their support of the Expo and their ongoing efforts to build community among anglers, the Heber Valley Fly Casters play an important role in strengthening fly fishing in Utah.

High Country Fly Fishers

The High Country Fly Fishers chapter of Trout Unlimited is based in Park City, Utah, serving anglers throughout Summit County and the surrounding area. The club brings together fly fishers of all experience levels who share a passion for the sport, conservation, and the stewardship of Utah’s coldwater fisheries.

High Country Fly Fishers hosts monthly fishing outings, educational programs, conservation projects, and community events that help anglers build skills while protecting the waters they enjoy. Along with conservation groups and local agencies, the chapter helps restore habitat, support healthy trout populations, and promote responsible angling practices.

Monthly meetings are open to the public and feature guest speakers, educational presentations, and time with fellow anglers. Meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Rd, Park City, UT 84060.

Through its commitment to conservation, education, and camaraderie on the water, High Country Fly Fishers continues to play a vital role in strengthening the fly fishing community in Summit County and beyond.

Stone Fly Society of Utah

The Stonefly Society of Utah, based in Salt Lake City, is a Trout Unlimited chapter dedicated to promoting fly fishing, conservation, and community among anglers across the Wasatch Front. The organization brings together fly fishers of all skill levels who share a passion for learning, responsible angling, and protecting Utah’s coldwater fisheries.

The society regularly hosts meetings, fishing outings, educational presentations, and fly-tying gatherings that help members improve their skills and deepen their understanding of aquatic insects, fly patterns, and effective fishing techniques.
