Time: Thursday April 16th 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Instructor: Jeff Currier
Limited to 10 participants
Most folks that fly fish for trout these days jump right in the water with nymphs or streamers. These techniques work when the fishing is slow and work when the fishing is excellent. But most of us agree, there’s nothing better than watching a trout rise to a dry fly. Learn some tricks from one of the top dry fly anglers, an angler who has three World Championship Medals that all came with the help of dry fly fishing. Perhaps next time you’re out you too can start with a dry fly!
This class will begin with the basics of equipment from recommended rod sizes to line tapers and choosing & making the right leader to improve your presentations. Jeff will explain the must have flies and when to use each. From there Jeff will take you onstream and combine reading water with demonstrating casts from the Pile Cast to the Reach Cast. Jeff will even show you how to rig and fish two dry flies at a time!
